HongKong - Where EAST meets WEST

Hong Kong is an exciting city. You feel its energy the moment you land. It has a great mix of both Western and Eastern, both when it comes to culture, food, shopping, and architecture.

After changing multiple MTRs and walking for miles, we reached the Sky 100 which is a 360 degree observation deck on the 100th floor of ICC towers, to get the best view of the Hongkong skyline..

While we walked across the streets, we dropped by Charlie Brown Cafe (which is an ode to the Peanuts characters).. there were snoopy and Charlie brown imprinted burgers and coffee..

I have picked up a lot of things during this travel, out of which this piece is really precious to me - it's a 'Hyukpil' or rainbow art calligraphy✒️ where every character painted speaks of ethics for positive motivation ! Here both our names depict very significant energies in them and it's a real beauty..❣️

The path to the Ten Thousand Buddhas pagoda consists of 430+ steep steps lined with different unique forms of Buddha.. the inside of the temple which sits at the top of a hill consists of >10000 Buddhas in the monastery ! 😲

we wanted to go on the wisdom trail (the picture with logs of wood standing upright with Mandarin scripts written on them), and on the way - we crossed this beautiful monastery on the glass-bottom cable 🚠 which had one of the largest Buddha statue.

Egg waffle (no extra serving of cream required, it's tasty as is)

Pumpkin pancakes (only for the ones who love pumpkin🎃)

After a lot of searching, we reached the mother of all icecreams ~ this huge mountain of Japanese shaved ice dessert goes by the name - Kakigori (I had the matcha flavour) it looks like fallen snow and is made of layers of condensed milk and ice. The snow was undeniably soft and fluffy.. and I enjoyed the intense bitter matcha flavour in the icecream.

Hongkong Harbor is lined with around 30 animated comic characters and are a fun spot for taking pictures, but super crowded !

Our trip would be incomplete without visiting the peaceful, serene and beautiful Chinese gardens.

Spreading love, laughter and smiles for the past 90 years and bringing joy to all old and young🤗

Our second disneyland visit after Anaheim ! ❤️ Hong Kong Disneyland is beautiful in its own very way.. and since it was Christmas celebration here, it became all the more magical.
